Description: Integration contest is open to existing medium and large businesses.  Bring your ideas to integrate with our API and we will provide resources for analysis and prototyping.

Prizes: 4 prices each valued at $25,000 each.

  • One on site resource for  a month  (requirements analysis, documentation, scoping and proto typing)
  • One offshore resource for a month (Development, testing, deployment assistance).
  • we cover all the expenses travel and accommodation expenses.

Dates:

  • Provide your integration idea by April 5th.
  • Winners will be announced on  June 1st.
  • All work to be done by OCT 2010.

    Samples:

    Integration with the business applications and  checkout systems for confirmation processing only (not payment apps).

    Integration with checkin systems for ticketing and rewards, memberships, etc.(Minimal changes to your existing business processes).

    Integration with marketing systems for promotional offers.

    Eligibility:

    Proposals from Medium and large businesses in the United States only.

    End Clients (Core business is not pure information technology business).

    Information Technology companies can submit proposals for an end client.

    In this case our team can work with you at the client location or your location, depending on the nature of the project executed.

    Selection Criteria:

    Selection of consulting company or end client will be based on the most effective use of the API.

    1. i.e. the one that benefits the consumer the most.

    2. The ones that won’t be considered a stretch and the ones that will become a natural extension to the consumer’s current experiences.

    3. Consumer facing apps will be given preference over enterprise or backend apps.

    Terms and conditions:

    Commitment to go live before OCT 2010 is required.

    Client signs a contract to pay for the resources if the live date cannot be met for a reason that is not related to our resources (system or consultants).

    In preparation for the cradless pay launch, we are announcing a developer contest.  The contest is aimed at innovative use of our Add To Wallet API,

    so that consumers can carry confirmations, memberships, tickets or any thing that they typically carry in their wallet on their smart phone.

    Applications will purely be judged by the use of this free to use API. Participation in other services provided by cradles pay is not required.

    Prizes:

    First Prize: $4000

    Second prize: $2000

    8 Third Prizes:  8 google Nexus one Phones.

    Eligibility: Developers can participate from any part of the world.

    The target audience of your application/website is limited to US audience only. Contests for other countries might be announced at  a later date.

    App Live Date:  June 1st 2010.

    Call Count Period: June 2010 to Aug 2010.

    Winners will be announced on Sep 1st.

    Judging criteria:

    Top 10 applications that made most calls to the add to wallet API . Uniqueness of the calls will be verified by wallet key and date.

    All online real time applications/websites are eligible to participate.

    Batch calls/Jobs are allowed, if the request is in response to a customer activities on your app/web site. But application approval for this might take time.

    API provides a simple way for adding items to the consumers mobile wallet. The concept is similar to book marking in the cloud, except that the items added to the wallet are transactional in nature. That is the items on the wallet are presentable to a merchant for the purchase of goods and services.

    FAQ
    What are the typical uses of this API?
    This API can be used to add tickets, memberships(regular or promotional)
    coupons, gift certificates, pick up/purchase receipts and more.
    What is the cost of this API?
    There is no cost to using this API. However if SMS confirmation message needs to be sent, the user of the API will need to pay for the SMS messages upfront. So there will be very low monthly charges once you exceed 100 messages per month.
    What is required to add an Item to the wallet?.
    You will need content URL and Barcode URL – both URLs formatted for properly display on mobile devices.
    Will you help in generation of the barcodes?
    If your current systems is not generating barcodes you could use content xml instead of content url and barcode url. Content xml will be used to generate barcode data.
    What are the other limitations on the content URL? Or Barcode URL.
    Content URL Page can contain, your company logo or an image that can be used to identify your brand. The URL cannot contain more than one image. Size of the image needs to be less than 10k. Other than that, remaining information needs to relevant to the type of item being added. No advertisements are allowed. Limit on the size of the URL will be enforced to provide good experience on mobile devices.
    What is the test URL for the Serivce?

    How do I verify my item is added to the mobile wallet?

    This can be tried from your Smart Phone as well.
    Is barcode URL necessary to add an Item to the wallet?.
    Not required
    How do I Process the barcodes?
    If you are generating the barcode you are responsible for providing the software that helps in decoding the barcode and feeding it to the appropriate system. However we can help you do that.
    1. Using the content XML for generating the barcode. Content XML follows a certain format, that we know how to process and you can use one of our pre built application to scan and process the barcodes, with out any effort on your part
    2. You can provide a call back URL that will be used post the scanner results in decoded format, which you can use for further processing
